I can count the many situations that make this world very complicated. Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and Maria were catastrophic and the senseless shooting in Las Vegas was just plain senseless. And let’s not forget the earthquake in Mexico. Inspiration seems dimmed and unattainable. Where do you grab perspective?
Recent physical and emotional challenges gave me no choice but to do one thing. I had to gain perspective. The switching of my mindset was incredibly difficult. I don’t know if I was able or willing to do so.
“Sometimes you have to look back to see how far you’ve come.”
Although I haven’t been blogging for a while…don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. There have been major transitions in my life. With the career, fitness, and everything else ever-changing, I still get excited about Little Giant Life. I’m still writing for We All Grow Latina Blogger Network and I’ve become more active via Instagram.
Blogging is a business and it always keeps me on my toes. The face of blogging has changed and has become a multi-functional way of keeping up with trends and making money. It’s not about writing the 500-word article. It’s all about content! Currently, I’m brainstorming how to be more effective to you without burning myself out.
The major update in my life is the journey to becoming a yoga instructor. My friend Amanda Smith took some incredible pictures of this next adventure. The day was inspiring and emotional. She is amazing! Please read the story here.
After a two-year break from teaching any type of class, I’m back to teaching a yoga class at Athleta this Sunday! I don’t know where else I’ll be teaching next, but I’ll be sure to keep you informed.
Thanks for always being there and know that I do what I can to inspire you. Here’s hoping your Holidays are filled with peace and love.
It has been a very, very, busy, few weeks. Work has been far more intense than expected. However, I am excited to announce my latest adventure. But before I do, I’ll go back just a bit. I have been a dance teacher for the past 20 years and stopped (for now) about a year and a half ago. With the change of work/teaching life, I couldn’t do both. Teaching dance is a highly skilled art form which does a lot of damage to the body. As a result, I have experienced some physical ailments. But I don’t let it stop me.
¡El ejercicio es todo!
I’ve always loved teaching and always saw myself teaching something other than dance. For the past 8 years or so, I’ve always dreamt of becoming a yoga teacher. And now the time has come!!!
This weekend I will start my yoga teacher training and I’m beyond excited! The schedule fits my busy lifestyle and it has come at a great time! I invite you to follow my journey and hope you become inspired to do what you love to do! As everything in life, there is a process. I want to show the good, the bad and the realness of it all. So, follow me here and on Instagram for the progress.
